Vakkár is looking for an experienced stylist who cares about the work and the person in the chair. If you value thoughtful consultations, continued learning and hair that fits a client’s everyday life, we would like to hear from you.
Our approach begins with understanding the individual. A reference photo can start the conversation, but the right plan also considers hair history, condition, styling habits and the maintenance a client is comfortable with. Those conversations are part of the craft.
The consultation is part of the work
Good judgment shows up before the first cut or color application. It means listening closely, explaining the options clearly and being honest about what can be achieved in one appointment. Sometimes the most useful recommendation is a smaller change or a plan built over several visits.
We want clients to understand how to look after their hair between appointments. That might mean showing someone how to style a cut at home, talking through a color maintenance routine or explaining why a particular service should wait. The finished look matters, and so does how it works in the weeks that follow.
Keep developing your craft
Experience brings perspective, but there is always more to learn. At Vakkár, continued education includes learning in the salon and with educators in their areas of focus. We make room for technique and professional development as part of salon life.
If you are considering your next move, think about the work you most enjoy and the skills you would like to develop. You may be interested in refining a cutting technique, becoming more confident with color planning or improving the way you explain maintenance to a client. Those are useful things to share when we talk.

You can learn more about the salon and send an inquiry through our careers page. Tell us about your experience, the services you enjoy and what you are looking for in your next salon. The form includes space for comments, a résumé upload and social handles, so you can share the background and work you would like us to see.
Use that conversation to ask about the current opening, schedule, compensation, training and expectations. A good fit deserves a clear discussion on both sides.
